Use ElevenLabs to Create Pitch Video Voiceover Demos

1. Go to elevenlabs.io → click "Sign Up" (free account)
2. After sign-in, click "Speech Synthesis" in the left sidebar — this is where you'll generate audio
3. Look at the Voice dropdown — there are dozens of pre-built voices. Click any voice name → Preview to hear it
4. For advertising pitches, browse voices in "Narration" and "Newscast" categories — look for voices that sound confident, warm, and professional. Try "Rachel" or "Adam" as starting points.

What you should see: The Speech Synthesis interface with a text input area, Voice selector dropdown, and audio controls.

1. Write your VO script first in a separate document — keep it under 150 words for a 60-second spot, under 75 words for a 30-second spot
2. Read it aloud and time it before generating — a natural reading pace is about 130-150 words per minute
3. Paste your script into the ElevenLabs text field
4. Add natural pauses using line breaks or ellipses (...) — the AI reads punctuation literally, so good punctuation = natural pacing

What you should see: Your script in the text area, ready to generate.

Troubleshooting: If the audio sounds rushed, add commas and periods at natural pause points. If it sounds monotone, try a different voice — some voices carry more natural inflection than others.

1. With your script entered and voice selected, look for the Voice Settings section (may be collapsed — click to expand)
2. Adjust Stability (lower = more expressive, higher = more consistent) — start at 0.5 for most pitches
3. Adjust Clarity + Similarity Enhancement — set to 0.75 for cleaner audio
4. Click the Generate button (play icon)
5. Wait 5-15 seconds for the audio to generate
6. Hit play and listen — evaluate whether the pacing, emphasis, and tone match what the concept needs

1. Click the Download button (arrow icon) to save the .mp3 file
2. If the audio needs adjustment, go back and tweak: rewrite phrases that sound unnatural, try a different voice, or adjust the stability settings
3. Import the downloaded .mp3 into your video editing software (iMovie, Premiere, Canva video editor) as the audio layer under your visual concept frames

When presenting the pitch concept:

• In the video itself, add a small footer: "Concept VO — AI-generated demo"
• Verbally note to the client: "This is an AI voiceover mockup — we'd record with real talent for production"
• This is standard industry practice and builds trust; trying to pass off AI VO as human is a disclosure risk
