What you'll accomplish
By the end of this guide, you'll know how to use Gamma to generate a complete pitch deck structure — with slides, layouts, and visual hierarchy already in place — in under 20 minutes. You'll save the 3-4 hours typically spent on deck scaffolding and focus your time on refining content and adding real agency work.
What you'll need
What you should see: A prompt screen asking you to describe your presentation.
In the prompt field, describe your pitch with enough detail to guide the structure. Be specific:
New business pitch deck for [Prospect Name], a [industry] company. They're facing [specific challenge]. We are [agency name], a [agency type] specializing in [key capabilities]. Our pitch should include: why we understand their category, our strategic approach, creative capabilities, relevant case studies, team overview, and next steps. About 16-18 slides. Tone: confident, strategic, not salesy.
What you should see: Gamma generates a full deck outline first, then builds each slide with layouts, typography, and placeholder content.
Troubleshooting: If the output is too generic, add more specifics about the prospect's challenge and your agency's relevant strengths. More context = more relevant structure.
After generation, click through all the slides. Evaluate:
Don't worry about the placeholder content yet — you're evaluating the structure, not the final words.
Focus on getting the structure right before touching the content.
Work through the deck slide by slide:
Use Claude or ChatGPT to help write the narrative sections: "Write a 3-sentence strategic insight about [Prospect]'s category challenge for a new business pitch deck."
